The terms of Ponti's private alpha

It says what Ponti does today. Counsel will review it before Ponti opens to families beyond the alpha.

What it is
Ponti is an early product, open by invitation. It reads what your family connects and turns it into calendars, cards and a morning brief. How it handles your family's information is in the privacy policy.
It acts only when you say
Ponti never pays, signs, sends or books anything until a parent taps to say so. When your family's assistant writes back to someone for you, you read every word first, and the email says it's from your family's assistant, for you.
It can be wrong
It can misread an email, or miss one. Check what matters, such as a deadline or an appointment, against where it came from: every event and card links to its email. Don't rely on it in an emergency.
Your part
- You're an adult, and the parent or guardian of the children you add, or have their parent's permission.
- Connect only accounts that are yours to connect.
- Invite the other parent, rather than connecting their mail yourself.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself.
- Ask, invite and remind only people who'd want to hear from you, and share other people's details, such as a classmate's family's or a guest's, only for what you're using Ponti for.
Other families, people and services
When you link with another family, ask someone, or let Ponti ask a service's assistant, you choose what goes to them, and Ponti sends nothing without a parent's tap. What a linked family or an outside service does with what you send them is theirs, under their own terms. An assistant you connect to Ponti, such as Claude, is under its maker's terms.
What people post
Ponti has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post or send anything that harasses, threatens, demeans or deceives anyone, sexual content, hate, or anything that puts a child at risk. In a group, report a post that crosses the line, or leave the group; block a linked family on its page. A group's admins can hide a post, and Ponti's team looks at every post reported as unsafe, aiming to within 24 hours: it removes what breaks these terms, and can remove whoever posted it from the group, or from Ponti.
What it costs
Nothing, during the private alpha. Before that changes, you'll be told, and asked.
Leaving
Leave whenever you like: download your family's data, then delete your family's Ponti account. If the alpha ends, Ponti will tell you first, so you can download your data.
No guarantees
The alpha is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, Ponti isn't responsible for what it misses or gets wrong.
Changes
A new version gets a new date, and each parent is asked to agree to it before going on.
